Contribute to New Shelter

Help give victims a life free from violence

The Crisis Center needs a new shelter in order to continue serving families adequately and to serve more families. The City of Odessa has donated land adjacent to the current administrative office to build on. JSA Architects have drawn plans for the new shelter, and the estimated cost will be just under $5 million.

The 16,000 square-foot facility will feature 18 bedrooms, 18 bathrooms, a large kitchen, a 3,400 square-foot child play area, fencing and state of the art security. The current Angel House Shelter has eight bedrooms and two community bathrooms that at times up to 38 residents are forced to share at capacity. The stovetop in the kitchen is not functional due to fire code, and there are ongoing maintenance issues.

Support from the entire community is needed to make this shelter a reality. Help break the cycle so that these families can live free from violence. To raise $5 million one donor is needed at the $1 million level, two donors at the $500,000 level, five at the $100,000, 10 donors at the $50,000 level, 25 at the $25,000 level, 50 at the $10,000 level and 200 donors capable of giving $5000.

We have a three-year payout plan for pledges to support this campaign with a goal of breaking ground in 2018. There are also naming opportunities for the project. The Crisis Center appreciates any donations and support going towards this life-changing project.
