Donate today to help people live violence-free lives

Every dollar counts. It takes $84 to provide one survivor a night in the Angel House shelter. We believe all women, men and children deserve to be treated with respect, and no one deserves to suffer at the hands of another. Join us to create a community free from violence.

Your gift helps to:

  • Provide a lifeline for survivors of domestic and sexual violence through our 24-hour-a-day hotline.
  • Ensure women and children escaping violent homes have a safe and supportive place to turn at the Angel House 24-bed shelter.
  • Keep individual and group counseling services available, free of charge, for survivors.
  • Teach teens about healthy relationships and how to stop dating violence before it starts.

Other ways to contribute:

There are also certain new items that we can accept at certain times of the year. For instance, during our annual Back To School Drive, we collect new school supplies and backpacks for our clients’ children, and during the holidays, we collect gift cards and new toys.

Currently, we need NEW women’s yoga pants, bras & underwear, particularly L, XL & Plus sizes. Often, survivors have to leave everything behind, and we need to get them comfy, clean clothes quickly. We can only accept new items, which you can drop off at our 910-B S. Grant office.

By law we cannot accept used car seats, cribs and strollers.  We can only accept new toys and stuffed animals in their original packaging.

Planned Giving

A planned gift is any gift, made in lifetime or at death, as part of a donor’s overall financial and/or estate planning. Planned gifts can be made in cash, real estate, stocks, bonds, personal property or life insurance.

Bequests by Will

One of the simplest planned gifts is a bequest through your will in which you designate specific amount or percentage of your estate to The Crisis Center. A bequest also can reduce the amount of your taxable estate, which may increase the actual amount available to loved ones.

Life Insurance

Contributions of life insurance can provide a substantial gift, and the value of an ordinary policy at the time of the gift is tax deductible.

Endowment

An endowment is a perpetual gift that can be designated for the Crisis Center. The original gift remains intact, and the income is used to benefit our organization. An endowment can be established in memory of a loved one,or a donation can be added to an existing fund that will contribute to your local community indefinitely.
